Essential Functions
- Generating creative content for social media platforms, such as images, videos, and captions, to enhance brand visibility.
- You will also monitor and engage with our social media community, fostering positive relationships and enhancing brand advocacy.
- You will assist in planning, executing, and optimizing social media campaigns to meet organizational objectives, while utilizing social media analytics tools to track key metrics and compile regular reports on campaign performance.
1. Content Creation:
- Generate creative and compelling content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
- Develop multimedia content such as images, videos, and infographics to enhance engagement and brand visibility.
- Write captivating captions and headlines that resonate with stakeholders including potential members, active members, alumni/ae, etc.
2. Community Engagement:
- Monitor and actively engage with our social media community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner as appropriate.
- Foster positive relationships with followers and others to enhance engagement with Fraternity and Sorority Life.
3. Campaign Execution:
- Assist in the execution and optimization of the Fraternity and Sorority Life communications plan to meet organizational objectives and key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of messaging and branding across all platforms.
4. Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize social media analytics tools to track key metrics and performance indicators.
- Compile regular reports on campaign performance, audience insights, and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
5. Research and Trend Analysis:
- Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and new features in social media marketing.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
6. Operations:
- Serve as part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life team.
- Attend regular staff meetings of the Fraternity and Sorority Life and the Office of Student Engagement.
- Support the execution of Fraternity and Sorority Life events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Interest in social media and other marketing campaigns.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with faculty, staff, students (both members and non-members), and alumni.
- Attention to detail in posting, text, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Current DU undergraduate student enrolled for the 2024 – 2025 academic year.
- Must qualify for Federal Work Study.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/campaigns at one time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in a fraternity or sorority at the University of Denver.
Working Environment
- Open-office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions often occur with stress level being low to moderate.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate in the office.
- Partial remote work is available on a case by case basis.
- Fraternity and Sorority Life events are very busy with many activities. These times can be moderate to high stress.
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer or use a mobile device for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20lbs.
- Ability to drive a golf-cart after proper certification during times of high activity.
