Essential Functions
- Focus Areas:
- CAMP Program Assistants, while working as a team, will also take the lead on one of the following focus areas:
- CAMP Outreach Assistant (1 position available)
- The CAMP Outreach Coordinator will be a liaison between CAMP Programs and student groups like RSOs, fraternities, athletics, and club sports.
- The person in this position will also be the student representative on the campus-wide CAMP Committee. The CAMP Committee is made up of students, faculty, and staff from across campus to provide direction for the CAMP Program.
- This position will support the Associate Director for Prevention and Masculinities Engagement with trainings and workshops.
- CAMP Education Assistant (1 position available)
- The CAMP Education Coordinator will support in the facilitation of the DU Masculinities Project each quarter.
- This person will also support the CAMP Talks program, a monthly dialogue series with alumni of the DU Masculinities Project.
- The Education Coordinator will also help co-facilitate the Harm Prevention training requests that come from RSOs alongside the Associate Director of Prevention and Masculinities Engagement
- CAMP Outreach Assistant (1 position available)
- CAMP Program Assistants, while working as a team, will also take the lead on one of the following focus areas:
- General Responsibilities
- In addition to the role that each CAMP Program Assistant has within their Coordinator role, they will also:
- Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings
- Approach their work through a feminist, equity, and social justice lens.
- Support the education and outreach efforts of Health Promotion and the Health and Counseling Center (HCC).
- In addition to the role that each CAMP Program Assistant has within their Coordinator role, they will also:
- Position Responsibilities
- CAMP Program Assistants must also be present at all CAMP related events, unless there is an academic conflict.
- All CAMP Program Assistants will be trained on how to facilitate the various masculinities related presentations
- Presentation and should be prepared to present when requested.
- Provide input, as available, to HCC processes, resources, and committees.
- Uphold university policies and Equal Opportunity/Title IX reporting requirements according to their mandatory responsible employee status.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to serve as a proactive, supportive team member
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills or the desire to enhance these skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities on campus
- Passion and commitment to improving the health and well-being of the DU community
Required Qualifications
- Must qualify for Federal Work Study.
- Current University of Denver undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
- No active or unresolved conduct violations.
- Must be able to work at least 3-5 hours per week (excluding University breaks) and consistently fulfill all position obligations (more hours can become available depending on FWS availability).
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend programs
Working Environment
- Standard office environment within the Student Experience Suite (CCOM 3200)
- Stress level is low to moderate
- Noise level is quite to moderate
Physical Activities
- Ability to site in front of a computer for extended period of time
- Occasionally lifting or transporting objects upwards of 10 pounds
- Standing for extended periods of time
