Position Summary
This position will assist with provide tutoring services for the Athletic Department.
Essential Functions
The tutor will be meeting with students who request a tutor for various subject. The meeting session will be scheduled as one on one meeting. The meeting days and times are flexible and to be determined by the tutor and the student. Tutor must adhere to all academic integrity guidelines of the university and the athletic department.
Qualifications
The candidate for this position would be a student who has a desire to tutor students. We are looking for students who have been successful (recieved A’s or B’s) but not limited in the following areas; business, math, finance, accounting, psychology, physics, computer science, biology, chemistry etc.
Compensation and Benefits
This position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office. It is also open to students without a work-study award. Students will be paid $20-25/hr with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.
In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
The hours and the days that one tutors are flexible.
