What International Students Should Know About Student Employment at DU

Hello, international students! (And welcome to DU for our incoming students!)

Are you interested in working on campus to make some money, build your U.S. professional skills, and prepare for your future career? We know lots of you are, and we also know that the process can feel intimidating for international students. Don’t worry, we have the answers for you!

Join Elise Goss-Alexander, Assistant Director of Student Employment, for an informal conversation where we will talk about:

  • Where you are eligible to work
  • How much DU student employment jobs pay
  • How many hours DU student jobs usually include
  • How to find the right job to apply to in PCO
  • How to make a U.S. resume
  • The steps in the hiring process for a DU student job

If you have specific questions, please bring them! If you don’t have specific questions but are generally uncertain or nervous, bring that too!

We will hold four sessions, each of which will cover the same information. You only need to come to one, but you’re welcome to come to another if you have more questions!

If you can’t make it to these sessions, don’t worry! You can find this information on the ISSS website, the Student Employment website, and our videos on how to find jobs on PCO and how to apply to them. We even made a video with International Admissions specifically about how international students can get a job on campus!

Please send any questions to the Office of Student Employment at stuemp@du.edu.

We want everyone to be able to fully participate! We will enable closed captioning and we will not require cameras to be on. If there are other ways we can make the space more accessible, please let us know at stuemp@du.edu.
