Launch Project Coordinator
Paid Internship / Project Role
Solera Leadership Group · a new senior care executive search firm
Posting prepared for the University of Denver — Daniels College of Business career services / student employment
About the opportunity
A Denver-based entrepreneur (and University of Denver alumnus, Class of 1988) is launching Solera Leadership Group, a new executive and clinical search firm serving senior care operators — skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and memory care communities, and continuing care retirement communities — across the Front Range. The firm recruits facility and regional leadership (administrators, directors of nursing, executive directors) for operators who struggle to fill and keep those critical roles.
We are hiring a motivated University of Denver student to serve as Launch Project Coordinator and drive the day-to-day work of getting the business operational against an aggressive 20–30 day go-live target. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you will execute a defined launch punchlist, coordinate vendors, and build the systems the business will run on. It is an ideal fit for a student in accounting, entrepreneurial studies, business management, or a related field who wants real experience standing up a company from zero.
This is not a coffee-and-filing internship. You will do the actual work of launching a business and see the direct result of your effort by the end of the term.
What you’ll do
Working directly with the founder, you will own execution of the launch punchlist, including:
• Business setup coordination: prepare and organize the paperwork to form the new company (entity registration, EIN, business bank account), and coordinate with the founder and legal counsel to get each item filed and opened. (Legal decisions and signatures remain with the owner and counsel — you drive the legwork and keep it moving.)
• Vendor research and selection: compare and recommend options for the firm’s core tools — a recruiting CRM/database platform, a virtual or executive-suite office, e-signature and scheduling software, and a professional phone/email setup — then set them up once selected.
• Systems build: configure the recruiting database (field setup, data standards), and establish clean, organized digital files and workflows the business will use daily.
• Market research: build the firm’s initial target list — mapping senior care facilities and their leadership across the target geography from public sources — and compile a benchmark compensation dataset.
• Web and brand coordination: stand up a simple one-page website and professional online profiles, coordinating with a designer/developer as needed.
• Document preparation support: assemble and format the firm’s operating documents (templates, policies, outreach materials) from provided source material for the owner’s and counsel’s review.
• Project management: track every punchlist item, owners, and deadlines; flag blockers early; and keep the launch on schedule with regular status updates to the founder.
What you’ll gain
• Direct mentorship from an experienced healthcare-services entrepreneur who owns and operates multiple Colorado companies.
• A genuine, resume-ready accomplishment: “stood up a company’s operations and systems in under 30 days.”
• Exposure to the full toolkit of launching a business — entity formation, vendor selection, CRM and systems setup, market research, budgeting, and project management.
• A professional reference and a potential ongoing/part-time role if the launch goes well.
What we’re looking for
• Current University of Denver student (or recent graduate) in accounting, entrepreneurial studies, business, finance, or a related program.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning a checklist and driving it to completion with minimal supervision.
• Strong with everyday business software (spreadsheets, documents) and a quick learner of new tools.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented and reliable — this role runs against hard deadlines.
• Bonus: interest in healthcare, senior services, startups, or small-business operations.
No prior industry experience is required. We will provide the punchlist, the context, and the support — you bring the drive to execute.
Logistics
• Type: Paid [internship / part-time project role] — [hourly rate TBD]
• Hours: Approximately TBD hours per week; flexible around class schedule
• Duration: Intensive 4–6 week launch project, beginning ASAP with possible extension
• Location: Hybrid possible TBD— remote work plus periodic meetings in the Greenwood Village DTC
• Academic credit: Open to structuring as a for-credit internship if the student’s program allows
