Essential Functions
- Collaboration with Program Coordinator(s) and Business Coordinator on departmental goals, needs
- Content creation, media (slideshows, stories, videos, etc.) planning and posting, account engagement.
- Photography / Videography
- Brand development
- Interview/Interact with campus stakeholders, students to document and promote FIRST@DU student experiences, events, and daily activities
- Analyze social media for needs/areas of improvement
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Check-in on Teams each shift
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of social media landscape including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, ect.
- Experiencing with content creation
- Strong written and interpersonal communication
- Strong organization skills, including an attention to detail and ability to set and stick to deadlines
- Possess creative and professional writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with concept brainstorming, content review and critique
- Basic skills in photography, graphic design, and video creation (training available)
- Must be able to work collaboratively and as part of a team
- Be resourceful and take initiative
- Attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year, located in the Denver area
- Be in good disciplinary standing with the University
Working Environment
- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
- May vary depending on content needs
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
- Required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
