Essential Functions
- Meet weekly in-person with students in a one-to-one format
- Meet weekly with program director for training and mentoring
- Contribute to the maintenance and growth of the program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to write in Spanish and English
- Must understand the literacy, language and academic profile of Spanish Heritage Students
- Responsive, responsible and open to feedback
Required Qualifications
- Must have taken both or either course in the Spanish Heritage Series at DU (SPAN 2200 or 2250)
- Strong Spanish verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous tutoring/mentorship experience is a plus
Working Environment
- Standard office environment
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time, but only up to three hours.
