Essential Functions:
- Produce two monthly newsletters (one internal, one external)
- Manage social media, schedule posts, and respond to comments
- Design marketing collateral, signage for events and promotions
- Design infographics and visual data to enable user access to equipment/facilities
- Develop brand language for Innovation Floor
- Website Development: Create and maintain website with constant updates to content
- Advertise upcoming events
- Assist with in-person tours of facilities
- Produce reports and contribute to presentations
- Assist with and plan special events
- Create videos and slideshows to highlight student/faculty/staff/community experiences
- Interact with constituents to document and promote testimonials, events, and daily activities
- Attend all required meetings/trainings
- Other duties as assigned

Possible EVENTS Job Duties:
- Use 25Live, phone, and email to coordinate reservations of space
- Provide information on event spaces, meeting rooms, pricing, etc. to guests and clients.
- Provide exemplary customer service to clients.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to ensure information and updates are available to them.
- Event Logistics: plan and assist with special events (e.g. tours, club meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.)
- Maintain events calendar: scheduling dates/times/rooms
- Work with marketing specialists to develop event fliers and advertise/promote upcoming events
- Organize, set up, and run events/workshops
- Help foster relationships across campus and in the community
- Follow up with workshop attendees with pre and post-event communications
- Manage a database of event attendees and create monthly reports. Analyze trends in attendance (post-event analysis)
- Attend all required meetings/trainings
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Understanding of the social media universe including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, blogs, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
- Ability to lead the direction of social media conversation and a passion for online communication.
- Experience with website development and maintenance
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including an attention to detail and ability to set and stick to deadlines.
- The specialist must possess creative and professional writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with concept brainstorming, content review and critique
- Basic skills in graphic design, photography, and video creation
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be resourceful and take initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, organizational skills, and willingness to work with a high volume of details are essential.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid customer service and events planning background.
- Multitasking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a strong attention to detail
Required Qualifications:
- Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Previous experience organizing and planning events (professional, voluntary, or student group experience in doing so is all relevant)

- Tasks at varying heights might require your bending or kneeling abilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- This position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office.
- Students will be paid $18.81/hr with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.
- This position requires 10-15 hours per week for fall, winter, and spring quarters with flexibility in scheduling.
- Some evening/weekend hours required.
- In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
