The Learning Effectiveness Program (LEP) at the University of Denver (DU) was founded in 1982 and is an internationally recognized program for neurodiverse learners. Housed in the Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence (SAIE) division, the LEP is a fee for service program offering access to supports for neurodiverse learners with specific learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), students on the Autism spectrum, and/or students who have a history of learning differences.
Our mission is two-fold:
- To support and service University of Denver students, and
- To serve as a resource to the University Community
The LEP Tutor Assistant is responsible for assisting the LEP Tutor Coordinator (TC) with various administrative tasks such as checking appointment summaries, emailing tutoring regarding pending appointments, and pulling reports for the TC. The position will also review reports for cancelled sessions and email the TC with a list of students who have reached their cancelled session limit. Finally, this position will assist the TC with various excel projects, for reporting purposes, to help the TC create better processes for things such as data gathering and payroll. Candidates for this position should have a strong working knowledge of Excel, the ability to create reports and understand data, and be willing to conduct task-oriented work.
- Administrative support within the LEP tutor program
- Monitor student usage of tutoring services through student management system
- Improve processes of workflows for data, payroll, and other areas of the program
- Enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Denver
- Proven experience using Excel
- Prior work experience in a tutor program as a tutor or through administrative support
- Proven experience with gathering data and reports from a software system, as well as interpreting and assessing the data
This position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office. Students will be paid $18 – 18.75/hr with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance. Pay range is dependent upon experience. Students in this position will work between 8-10 hours per week for the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters (or Fall and Spring semesters).
In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
