Essential Functions:
- Working at the reception desk
- Answering the phone and the PPC email inbox
- Checking in/out clients
- Scheduling clinic rooms
- Collecting fees and copayments
- Performing phone screens for potential clients and providing referrals as necessary.
- Provide administrative support with client billing, scanning, filing, and copying.
- Assisting student therapists with all questions and requests for supplies and testing materials.
- Provide additional support to specialty clinics as needed (CUB, STURM, TDRC, etc.)
- Triage incoming questions from patients via phone and email; seek guidance from providers and clinical staff as appropriate. This includes daily monitoring and timely response to incoming messages in the electronic medical record system (Titanium) and the PPC inbox.
*Completion of the phone screen task can be counted towards the clinical hours academic requirement.

- Ability to prioritize effectively and exhibit composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential material and serve as a professional, courteous, and efficient point of contact for people communicating with the clinic.
Required Qualifications:
- This position is open to students in any program at the Graduate School of Professional Psychology, as well as Social Work/Behavioral Health disciplines within graduate schools at the University of Denver.
Working Environment:
- Standard office environment.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
- Interruptions occur often, and the stress level is moderate to high.
Physical Activities:
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
Time Commitment:
- Clinic hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. You will be asked for your available hours every quarter and scheduled accordingly.
- Once the schedule is assigned, you are expected to attend all shifts. If you cannot work your shift, you may be responsible for arranging a switch or coverage with another CA.
- Applicant must be available to work during breaks between quarters when the clinic is open and on various projects as assigned.
- There is a mandatory quarterly meeting on one Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. These are announced at the beginning of each quarter.
- This type of position is granted for one year at a time; reapplication is expected on an annual basis, and continuation is subject to positive performance evaluation.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation is $18.81–$21 per hour.
- In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited positions accrue sick time each pay period.
