Essential Functions
- The tutor will be meeting with students who request a tutor for various subject.
- The meeting session will be scheduled as one on one meeting.
- The meeting days and times are flexible and to be determined by the tutor and the student.
- Tutor must adhere to all academic integrity guidelines of the university and the athletic department.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- The candidate for this position would be a student who has a desire to tutor students.
Required Qualifications
- Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- We are looking for students who have been successful (received A’s or B’s) but not limited in the following areas; business, math, finance, accounting, psychology, physics, computer science, biology, chemistry etc.
Working Environment
- Work environment is flexible, but must be in a common area such as Community Commons or the library.
- Stress level is low to moderate
- Noise level is low
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit between 1 hour and 3 hours
Compensation and Benefits
- This position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office.
- It is also open to students without a work-study award.
- Students will be paid $20-25/hr with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.
- In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
- The hours and the days that one tutors are flexible.
