Because we are a small publishing firm, everyone wears many hats. Our interns will gain valuable experience in the following areas:
- Social media
- Client research
- Reporting and writing
- Data entry
- Client follow-up
This experience will include reporting, writing and editing editorial and marketing pieces used for Thirst Colorado’s magazines, website and social media. These efforts will include client contact, such as talking with business owners, marketing directors and other business contacts. Thirst covers the Colorado lifestyle as it crosses over with the craft beer, food and spirits scene.
A new experience is possible on any given day in the publishing industry and we fully expect to expand on the above list as the internship progresses and we learn strengths of each person.
Verbal and written marketing and communication skills are important. Flexibility is important when working in an environment driven by a variety of publishing deadlines.
What to Expect
We are a company of about 20 employees. It’s a relaxed environment though we work hard to meet all deadlines. Our interns receive an excellent snapshot of the small-company dynamic. Assignments will be experience-appropriate. We can be flexible with work schedules to accommodate school and jobs.
The internship offers a one-time $500 stipend.
