Investment Banking Analyst Intern – Part-Time & Remote
SFI is seeking an Analyst Intern to start immediately. This is a continuously paid internship with an average of 10-20 hours per week. Depending on the Intern’s performance, the internship can be extended.
SFI is a leading boutique investment bank in the Lower Middle Market. We offer private placement of debt and equity, negotiate mergers and acquisitions for company owners and find target acquisitions for private equity firms in a wide range of industries. We also offer the attention and focus of a boutique firm with experienced professionals handling every transaction. We raise debt and equity in both control and non-control transactions. Mergers & acquisitions are typically in the $10MM – $200MM range. Over the course of 30 years, we have closed more than 75 transactions exceeding $1 billion in total value.
Responsibilities:
The Analyst Intern will work closely with all members of the deal team to support each stage of the investment banking process. Responsibilities will include:
· Assisting with business development in preparing emailing lists
· Prepare precedent CIQ transaction report, comparable valuation report, and buyer list
· Industry research and competitive analysis
Depending on the Intern’s abilities, other potential responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Prepare Pitch deck, CIM, and other marketing material
· Preparing financial statements
· Performing various valuation models
· Ad hoc financial and other data analysis
Qualifications / Requirements:

SFI is a lean organization, so the Intern must be largely a self-starter and be comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves in a professional and fast-paced environment. The Intern must have the maturity, professionalism, and hard skills to work closely and effectively with our internal team. Only candidates with the following characteristics are encouraged to apply:
· Ability to run CIQ transaction researches
· Record of academic achievement in his/her undergraduate environment
· Relevant professional experience (an internship at another investment bank, private equity firm or similar financial institution is an advantage but not a requirement)
· A strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a history of follow-through
· Outstanding relationship-building skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· A “can do” attitude willing to take on any task that comes his/her way
