Paid Internship Opportunities: Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center
The Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center (RMEOC) works to create a more fair and sustainable economy by promoting employee ownership. Founded in 2012, RMEOC has various programs: a cooperative conversion program, a cooperative incubation program for start-ups, an education program, and research and policy programs. For instance, the cooperative conversion program supports businesses interested in converting their operations into an employee-owned cooperative or ESOP. The cooperative incubation program provides a one-stop program helping low-income and marginalized groups create cooperatives. Through conversion and cooperative-creation work, we provide technical assistance such as feasibility studies and business plans, educational workshops, and assistance structuring or converting an employee-owned company or worker cooperative start-up.
RMEOC is looking for a student who is competent in data collection, statistics, industry/ market analysis, and/or financial analysis to support the business planning and feasibility research that we provide to groups interested in employee ownership. This internship may earn academic credit in your department and comes with a $1500 stipend.
