I. Position Summary:
Provides job development, employer outreach, and job coaching to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and other disabilities receiving services in community jobs. Acts as liaison between client, employer, and ISE (Individual Supported Employment) Program Manager to assist job seekers with IDD and other disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment.
Salary range: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the ISE Program Manager to set up clients for employment success.
- Gain an understanding of clients holistically to support them best as they search for or begin a new job.
- Teach basic job-seeking skills to individuals with IDD. Support job seekers in crafting resumes and cover letters. Assess computer skills and tailor training based on skill level.
- Teach participants to use email, online applications, and job-searching platforms. Conduct mock interviews and accompany clients to interviews.
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, Zoom, and in person to recruit potential employers.
- Provide one-on-one job coaching, training, and intervention to individuals with IDD in their competitive, integrated workplaces, with the goal of job retention and increased independence.
- Model respectful and dignified interactions with the client to promote positive interactions between the client and coworkers.
- Act as liaison to the extent needed, between employer, client, and ISE Program manager and provide on-the-job support to client and employer.
- Support client’s growth through participation in collaborative team meetings, service plan meetings, and monthly contact notes.
- Support client’s success in JS vocational training programs by providing 1:1 and/or small group support during and post classroom time to ensure clients fully grasp content and are provided tailored tools needed to earn their credentials.
- Is a contributing member of the Employment Services department and attends required team and agency meetings.
- Documents case notes according to best practices.
- Represent JFS at job fairs and community events.
- Provides transportation to clients for purposes of job shadowing, interviews, and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
- An associate degree in human services, social work, or a related field is valued but not required.
Experience:
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Experience conducting employer outreach or assisting job seekers is helpful.
- If you have no experience, we value enthusiasm to work towards a more diverse Denver workforce and the desire to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time if required by a client’s job position.

- Must possess own transportation, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance.
