Douglas County Community Justice Services (CJS) is seeking new graduates and alumni in Criminal Justice, Social Services, Law, and related fields to help support public safety, court operations, and successful outcomes for individuals involved in the justice system. The County is open to hiring at the CJS I or II level, depending on experience. 

The Pretrial Intake Officer – CJS I serves as the first point of contact in the pretrial process by interviewing defendants in the Douglas County Detention Center and preparing bond reports that assist judges in making informed release decisions.

The Pretrial Officer – CJS II manages a diverse caseload while coordinating supervision, monitoring, community service placements, electronic monitoring programs, and court reporting activities.

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Community Justice Services Officer – Pretrial Intake Officer Hiring Range: $49,916-$62,395 annually
  • Community Justice Services Officer – Pretrial Officer Hiring Range: $55,364-$69,205 annually
  • Benefits Highlight

    • Paid time off: 11 ½ paid holidays each year + a floating holiday, 9 hours of paid vacation per month, 8 hours of paid sick time per month
