Job Summary:

Colorado Nonprofit Association’s (the Association) mission is to lead, serve and strengthen Colorado’s nonprofit community to improve the quality of life throughout our state. The Association cultivates and connects a community of nonprofits, individuals, students, and businesses. The membership represents organizations of all sizes, the majority having budgets of less than $1 million, with representation from diverse missions, locations and populations served. Since its inception, The Association has focused on the needs of its members with activities and services such as training, professional development, education, strategic learning, policy advocacy and partnership opportunities. While committed to its members, the Association has also committed to reaching the broader Colorado nonprofit community. The Association is the only organization influencing state and federal public policy on behalf of all Colorado nonprofits.

Reporting to the Manager of Programs- the Resource Coordinator plays a key role in supporting members and nonmembers of The Association by ensuring they have access to the most up to date and accurate resources available to them. The Resource Coordinator will be responsible for the successful implementation and coordination of our job board, our knowledge center/Principles and Practices and all elements of The Association website.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Job Board- 20%

  • Coordinate the posting and updating of positions on our job board.
  • Assists members/users with Job/Internship Board and approves postings on The Association’s website
  • Primary point of contact for nonprofit organizations and other organizations as they utilize and navigate the Job Board.
  • Activate the social media promotion of certain job board postings
  • Learn and understand policies and procedures as it relates to job postings in the state of Colorado for 501(c) status organizations.

Knowledge Center & Principles and Practices-50%

  • Maintain accurate records of a wide variety of documents to be displayed in our Knowledge Center and/or Principles and Practices publication.
  • Maintain and update an accurate inventory of the Knowledge Center
  • Continuously update our Knowledge Center and/or Principles and Practices with the most relevant resources, with guidance and support from the Manager of Programs.
  • Provide support between The Association and the nonprofit community in assisting with the navigation and cultivation of our Knowledge Center and/or Principles and Practices.

Website Maintenance -20%

  • Provide updates to The Association webpage as necessary on a timely basis
  • Create a process to identify and communicate necessary updates needed to the webpage, including but not limited to updating events, programs, and resources.
  • Maintenance of online consultant directory

Other Duties- 10%

  • Update and maintain our Neon database as needed.
  • Respond to online inquiries as appropriate.
  • Lead an annual Google Drive review to ensure it is properly organized and archived.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills (ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines) and attention to detail
  • Strong keyboard skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
  • Demonstrated comfort with learning new technology tools including database programs, software programs and internet tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a team environment and to motivate others
  • A sense of humor, tolerance for change, and desire to create a positive culture
  • Proficient with Google Suite. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel), or related software
  • High aptitude for technology, webpages, and databases
  • Demonstrated experience with website development and database management is a bonus
  • Understanding of the Nonprofit community is a bonus

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Some travel across Colorado is required
