Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to all phases of project development and delivery, including initiation, planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, cost control, and closeout.
  • Establish, support, and enforce environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Set clear project goals, milestones, roles, and coordination rhythms across internal teams and partners.
  • Collaborate with the design team, partners, contractors, and vendors to advance project objectives, and anticipate project and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage change orders and support resolution of day-to-day issues, design changes, and strategic adjustments to project execution.
  • Track project progress and report on status, priorities, risks, cost forecasts, and changes.
  • Lead procurement planning, logistics coordination, and inventory visibility with procurement, depot, and warehouse teams, including developing estimates and bills of quantities, monitoring shipping logistics, and anticipating long-lead items and supply chain risks.Oversee drawing reviews, revisions, document control, and file management.
  • Coordinate punch lists, completion verification, and commissioning activities to ensure full compliance with closeout and turnover requirements.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably with field supervision experience and work in healthcare facilities or mission-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from planning through closeout.
  • Demonstrated experience in project administration, construction methods, financial management, project planning, scheduling, and architectural and engineering design principles.
  • Understanding of project planning, construction methods, sequencing, and means and methods in international and low-resource settings preferred.
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project, or
  • similar).
  • Familiarity with NGO or international development project delivery is a plus.

  • Proficiency in additional languages (French, Spanish, or other local languages) is a plus.

Other Information

Location: The position will be based at the BHI office in Beverly, Massachusetts , with the opportunity to partially work remotely based on a hybrid schedule. The role will require regular international travel to the project sites.
