Are you looking for a new job or a new career? Do you want to expand your network but would like support and guidance on how to do so effectively? Are you frustrated by submitting resumes for a job and never hearing back from anyone? Then this group is for you!
Experts agree that networking accounts for at least 60% of how all jobs are filled; some claiming as much as 85%. If you feel tapped out, the challenge is to expand your existing network and find opportunities in new areas. Join career and leadership coach Kevin Jonell (MBA) along with a small group of other motivated alumni for a 4-week Career in Transitions Networking group (CIT).
CIT will meet via Microsoft Teams Wednesdays from 9:00-10:30am for 4 weeks beginning January 13, 2021. The group will focus on building networks and discuss topics including:
- Defining the purpose of networking to maximize your search efforts
- Networking within an industry, role specific networking, how to create meaningful and sustained networks
- How to leverage your network – to generate the results you want
- Utilizing LinkedIn to build your network
- Supporting each participant in their job search and networking efforts, and providing guidance and encouragement to achieve their career goals
Group members will share their networking efforts and stories, support each other and leverage connections to create opportunities. One of the great secrets of networking is that those outside your own industry and demographic may be your best connections. This CIT group is your starting point.
This networking group will be limited to no more than 15 members and we request that registrants commit to attend all 4 sessions. For questions, reach out to Kevin Jonell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Accepted registrants will receive information about how to join the group prior to the first meeting.About the Facilitator:
