Colorado Nonprofit Association’s (the Association) mission is to strengthen Colorado’s nonprofit organizations through education, connection, and advocacy. The Association cultivates and connects a community of nonprofits, individuals, students, and businesses. Member organizations represent all budget sizes, with diverse missions, locations and populations served. Educational programs increase the sustainability of the nonprofit sector by providing virtual-live, recorded, and in-person training and professional development. The Association connects nonprofit professionals through peer-to-peer learning, and fosters collaborations and partnerships between the three sectors, and connects members to resources, best practice knowledge, and current trend information to increase the overall capacity of the sector. Through advocacy, the Association leads the adoption and implementation of public policies that affect the entire sector and strengthen nonprofits and the communities where they work, and actively supports statewide advocacy efforts of collaborations and networks of nonprofit focus areas.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Administrative Assistant provides scheduling and administrative support for executive leadership, supports and serves as a liaison to the board of directors, and assists with programmatic execution.
Compensation: $40,000-$45,000
Classification: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Duties/Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
• Manage calendars/scheduling for the Association’s leadership team – Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Development Officer (CDO), and Director of Programs
• Helps manage call lists, contact notes, and partner and donor meetings for the CEO & CDO
• Engage in professional development opportunities to gain knowledge of the nonprofit sector.
• Represent the Association professionally and effectively, serving as a first and often recurring point of contact for, and cultivating positive relationships with, community members
• Assist with data management, filing, and archiving
• Provide support to Programs, Membership, Government Affairs, and Development activities as needed.
• Assist with projects, presentations, meetings, and conferences, as needed.
• Monitor office supply inventory.
• Prepare and send tax letters and donor acknowledgements.
• Process all incoming checks.
Board Support and Liaison
• Serves as the CEO’s administrative liaison to the Association’s Board of Directors; assists board members with questions and requests, as needed
• Assist in compiling and distributing board of directors meeting materials.
• Maintain annual Board of Directors calendar and tasks to ensure excellent Board performance.
• Coordinates board and committee meetings including meeting preparation, presentation materials, logistics, scheduling, communications, and taking meeting notes.
• Coordinates new board member orientations.
• Updates and maintains board member lists, contact information, and committee rosters, and coordinates any changes needed directly with Membership, Development, Government Affairs, & Programs teams.

• Strong organizational skills (ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines) and attention to detail
• Strong keyboard skills
• Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience working with virtual meeting software
• Demonstrated comfort with learning new technology tools including database programs, software programs
and internet tools
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a team environment and to motivate others
• Keen awareness of sensitive nature of work and the need for confidentiality
• A sense of humor, tolerance for change, and a demonstrated ability to create a positive culture
• Proficient with Google Suite. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel), or related software
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 1-3 years of related job experience
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
• Some travel across Colorado is required
