Job & Internship Search

Beginning a job or internship search can at times feel a bit overwhelming and stressful no matter where you are at in your professional journey. Whether you are looking for an opportunity in Colorado or beyond, the Career & Professional Development team is here to help break the process down into manageable steps that reduce stress during your search. Below are four immediate strategies you should implement as you start your search.

Individual Career Coaching
Everyone’s job and internship search goals are unique, and they require tailored advice. We recommend chatting with a member of our career team to get started on your action plan. Students can schedule an appointment with their Career Advisor via PCO the career event, career appointment, and job/internship posting site for DU students. Alumni, please utilize the alumni quick question hours for job search tips and coaching.

Career Fairs & Networking Events
The University of Denver hosts numerous career fairs every year that are open to both student and alumni seeking jobs and internships. Additionally, 3-5 networking events are hosted every quarter connecting students with alumni in a field or industry of interest. Many job leads come from attending both fairs and networking events. Visit our Career Events page for a list of all upcoming programs.

Build Connections to Land Positions
Many people land job and internship opportunities by networking with faculty, staff, alumni, peers. and colleagues. Our alumni network is a great way to get connected to organizations and industries of interest. Learn more on our networking page.
