1st Year

Welcome to the University of Denver, we are excited to have you join our DU community! Career & Professional Development is here to help you with all aspects of your career journey whether you are looking for your first campus job or wanting to get started on an action plan for your post-graduation goals.

While it might seem early to be thinking about your career plans when you have just started college, there are several steps that are important to complete in your first year at DU:

  • Need a campus job? Check out our Student Employment page for details.
  • Set up your account on PCO and explore this important resource. This site will allow you to search for campus jobs, internships, register for career events, schedule appointments and more!
  • Complete Career Achievement Milestone 1 by getting your resume updated for college and reviewed by a career staff member.
  • Schedule an appointment with your career advisor on PCO or by calling 303.871.2150. Whether you are undeclared or have clear professional goals in mind, a meeting with your career advisor can ensure you are taking the steps necessary for professional success.

Your first-year at DU is an exciting time to meet new people and explore your interests. Joining a student organization can be a great way to meet people, explore passions, and build leadership skills. To learn more about student organization involvement visit Crimson Connect.
