Pioneer Connect to be Sunsetted and Replaced

As of December 31, 2020, the University of Denver, its students, parents and alumni no longer have access to Pioneer Connect.

The 5-year contract expiration was an opportunity to look at other technologies to insure we are providing the best and most effective networking tools possible for the DU community. We will be rolling out a new platform that will fully integrate members’ LinkedIn profiles, simplify sign-in, provide in-platform video meeting scheduling, personalized matching algorithms and notices for recommended networking contacts.

We anticipate launching our new platform in early 2021. While there will be a gap between the termination of Pioneer Connect and the launch of the new platform, we will make it as easy as possible for you to participate. Anyone who joined or was active in Pioneer Connect in the last year will automatically be imported into the new platform. For those who joined earlier and would like to be transitioned, please complete this brief survey by January 15, 2021. The survey also allows Pioneer Connect members to opt out so we don’t transfer their information.

During the gap between the end of Pioneer Connect and the launch of our new platform, we encourage the DU community to more actively use LinkedIn. Joining any of the multiple DU groups will help you leverage your DU connection. The largest, University of Denver Alumni, has over 13,000 members. While LinkedIn won’t provide the same curated experience as our new platform, it’s a solid interim substitute.

We look forward to 2021 as the year where we make the global network of DU alumni, students, and parents even more accessible.
