On Friday, October 26, Arrow Electronics hosted a total of 50 students from five Colorado universities to learn more about careers at Arrow Electronics. The University of Denver sent 10 students to this event. The other universities were: Colorado State University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado Boulder, and University of Colorado Denver. The focus of this opportunity was to align a diverse group of students to meet Arrow Electronics employees and executives and hear from past student interns during this exciting day of getting to know Arrow! The students learned about the career paths available in Arrow, and how many employees do not take a traditional route to get into a job there. They also learned there is lots of room for movement and growth within the company. And maybe most importantly, they learned that many summer interns go on to have full-time positions at Arrow after graduation!

Arrow has partnered with DU to provide summer internships to students at their office in Colorado. These internships span the areas of: Applications Engineer, Sales Representative, Accounting, Finance, IT/CIS, Marketing, Human Resources, and Supply Chain/Product Management. If this is the first you are hearing about Arrow, or if you are still interested in applying, then you’re in luck! The internship program with Arrow runs from June through August and is a full-time paid internship. You work with students in the other internship positions on a team to complete a project competition that uses all your internship areas to solve a problem given to every intern group. You can hear more about the internship program here. The application information is up on Pioneer Careers, and can also be found on Arrow’s website. Once you submit a resume to apply you will get a phone interview as a first round. After this phone interview Arrow starts narrowing the applicant pool before going on to in-person interviews. They have already started interviews and will continue conducting them until March, so the sooner you get your application in the better!
